Please help safeguard & grow our Sacred Music Program for our Lord's glory & the help of souls!
Our Shrine is known for many blessed things, perhaps none more than the quality of Sacred Music that resounds there to lift hearts and glorify God. BUT, sustaining and growing our music’s excellence into the next generation is a significant challenge - we need your help.
The expense of singers & musicians continues to rise, along with their scarcity. Choir singers and choral offerings have had to be reduced during many recent masses. Our growing Youth Schola, which cultivates the hearts and voices of the young, requires more funding as it blossoms, along with Schola scholarships for youth in need. Most importantly, we sense a holy call to further expand and beautify our program, and the glory it brings God, along with the fruit it offers to the faithful. This call could go unanswered without much needed support.
With your help, we can secure our Sacred Music’s legacy, evangelize more young people through our Youth Schola, and glorify our Lord evermore greatly. By reaching our goal, we can fully fund the Youth Schola’s expected growth, plus restore and enrich the breadth and depth of our Sacred Music and the many graces it brings to our community. Through your support we will further glorify God by augmenting our wonderful choir during Holy Mass and Feast Days, provide special ensembles, and offer Sacred Music concerts that sanctify and edify our home community and visitors.
Extolled and fostered by popes, doctors, saints and faithful across history, Sacred Music plays a unique role in solemn liturgy, especially when offered with the sense of prayer, dignity and beauty befitting the very presence of God. St. Martin’s has been richly blessed by extraordinary talent who offer this in heartfelt ministry, along with countless past & current benefactors whose sacrifice has made it possible - even restoring our exquisite, historic pipe organ. From the “supreme model” of sacred music in the Roman rite - Gregorian chant, to sacred polyphony, and pious hymns, our shared work to cultivate the glorious musical patrimony of the centuries with diligence and love is a special mark of grace upon our Shrine.

The Shrine of St. Martin of Tours in Louisville, Kentucky offers daily Mass, as well as Mass in the Extraordinary Form on Sundays. Our mission is to serve the community by providing a spiritual home for all who seek to deepen their faith.
The Shrine of St. Martin of Tours is a special place of devotion, prayer and piety… a treasure of the entire Archdiocese of Louisville. Like Catholic Shrines all over the world, it is especially dedicated to prayer and devotion to the liturgy, service to the poor, and veneration of the saints. A place of pilgrimage,
where the Faith is flourishing and where the Word of God is preached in its fullness.
Here for over 170 years and open 24 hours a day, our Shrine provides Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration of our Lord, and enables veneration of Saints Bonosa and Magnus at their glass tombs. It is known for beautifully reverent liturgies along with many pious devotions that share timeless traditions of the Catholic faith. The renowned sacred music, beautiful statues and radiant stained glass iconography uplifts minds and hearts to God every day.
St. Martin’s also feeds and clothes Christ in the poorest of the poor, caring for the most vulnerable among us. The Shrine’s Schuhmann Center and Golden Arrow Center provide vital help to men, women and children in our community.
The Shrine warmly welcomes and serves the entire Archdiocese as a vibrant place of refreshment, refuge and faith-building for all ages. Our doors never close! Providing all the liturgical functions of a regular parish, our members include many young people and growing families, as well those devoted for a long- time. People from all over the surrounding area come to St. Martin’s to visit, make a pilgrimage, or to make it their spiritual home.
In fidelity to the Church founded by Christ:
we WORSHIP Him in the sacred liturgy;
we ADORE Him, present in the Blessed Sacrament;
we SERVE Him present in the needs of all; and,
we PROCLAIM His unchanging Truth.
At St. Martin of Tours, our doors never close.
